Book and Pay — Lighting Art Mentorship with Ted Mebratu

Lighting Art Mentorship – Summary
Important: If you have not yet been given a code to book your mentorship, you cannot purchase this service yet. See bottom of the page for more details.

In this mentorship, you’ll learn how to use lighting as a tool for storytelling, mood, and immersion. The focus will be on developing your artistic instincts, understanding how light shapes a scene, guides the eye, and creates emotional impact, and then turning that understanding into clear, repeatable decisions you can carry into future projects.

Ted Mebratu is a Senior Lighting Artist originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with over seven years of experience in the AAA video game industry. He began his career at Ready At Dawn, contributing as a Lighting Artist on Lone Echo 2, before moving to Naughty Dog where he worked on several projects, including The Last of Us series. He is now part of Lightspeed LA, working as a Senior Lighting Artist on Last Sentinel.

Choosing Your Program

For this mentorship, you can choose from our four-session Gold program or eight-session Diamond program.

We generally recommend our Diamond program for complex, highly detailed projects that require more time, guidance, and meticulous work. Our Gold program is best suited for smaller, less-complex projects that can be completed on a shorter timeline.

If you are unsure which program would be best for you, reach out to us at contact us and we can provide you with a recommendation

APPLICATION and Purchase Process

In order to purchase a mentorship, we require that you first complete an application process. If you are approved, we’ll send you a confirmation email with a code which you can then use to book and pay for your mentorship at the top of this page.

If your code is not working, reach out to us at contact@vesselforge.com with your name and the code included in your confirmation email and we will assist you!
